Presentation Products is a DOE preferred vendor with SMART certified trainers and classroom oriented training plans. Equip teachers with the know-how to navigate and better utilize SMART Notebook software in the classroom with our SMART Implementation Program (SIR) and customized courses designed for users of interactive technologies. All smartboard training materials are included in courses, which can be held on site in classrooms, or at our dedicated training room. These courses are great for professional development in schools.Participants will receive Professional Development Hours for each training session completed.

SMART Implementation Residency

PHASE I: SMART Notebook Part I
This course is designed for new SMART Board users, or users who have not attended an in depth SMART professional learning workshop. Notebook I is a hands on workshop designed for 15 participants and offers hardware and basic functionality instruction. You will learn about how the SMART Board interactive whiteboard works. and the basic principles of touching, writing and saving within Notebook Software 11.
Time commitment: 2 hours
PHASE II: SMART Notebook Part II
Learn how to bring interactivity to existing PDFs, Power Point presentations, Excel spreadsheets, Word files and websites. After completing this course, users will have the ability to manipulate objects and capture information into SMART Notebook Software, use page groupings to organize lessons and add sounds using Audio Recorder.
Time Commitment: 2 hours
PHASE III: Interactivity Training
Presentation Products Interactivity Training is designed for 15 participants and will provide learning on integrating tables using the Table pen, animating objects, customizing the creative pen, creating pull tabs, and adding animation and sound with the Activity Builder. Participants will learn how to leverage interactive tools to deliver sophisticated lessons and expand upon popular, already established activities.
Time Commitment: 2 hours
PHASE IV: SMART Consulting Sessions
Presentation Products’ Education Consultant will observe participants utilizing their interactive whiteboard within their classroom and offer consultation sessions on how to enhance lessons and best utilize the SMART technology. Participants will receive feedback on best-practices and interactive lesson design and discover new resources that van be used to anchor concepts and increase critical thinking skills.
Time Commitment: 6 hours
PHASE V: SMART Collaboration & Reflection
This session is designed to improve upon all prior lessons. Presentation Products’ Education Consultant will facilitate a collaborative brainstorming session for participants to share ideas, present their own SMART lesson activities and reflect upon the use of technology in the classroom.
Time Commitment: 3 hours

*This program can be covered in 5 days or scheduled over a time period most suitable for the school staff
